Evaluate the exact Acmi L10-0A configuration

The ACMI L10-0A is designed to transmit a straight-ahead laparoscopic image
through a rigid optical tube. The 0-degree viewing direction provides a direct forward view,
while the 10 mm diameter places the instrument within a common adult laparoscopic telescope
category. Published product information describes the instrument as autoclavable, but the
manufacturer’s instructions and the engraving on the individual scope should control the actual
cleaning and sterilisation process.

A rigid laparoscope contains a lens train, distal objective window, optical tube, eyepiece or
camera-coupling interface and a light-post connection. Damage to any of these components can
reduce brightness, contrast, colour accuracy or image uniformity even when the scope appears
acceptable externally. A pre-shipment inspection should therefore include a live image test
against a suitable endoscopy camera and light source rather than relying only on photographs of
the instrument body.

Optical acceptance should check image sharpness from the centre to the edge, correct 0-degree
orientation, colour balance, absence of haze, black spots, internal debris, water intrusion,
chipped lenses or severe distortion. The distal window and eyepiece should be examined for
scratches, cracks and delamination. The shaft should be straight, without dents, bends or
deformation that could interfere with a trocar or increase the risk of damage during insertion.
